I understand
fellowship groups- Maze Presbyterian Church Lisburn

Everyone deserves a place where they feel welcomed, accepted and cared for. We believe that the core of pastoral care will be experienced within fellowship group ministry - our fellowship groups are not simply Bible Study groups; they provide the basis for real and meaningful care. We encourage you to be a part of a fellowship group. On an on-going basis the group will pastor each other as they support each other in prayer and in other, practical ways.

Small groups meet fortnightly on Tuesday or Wednesday and start at 8pm (except for one group on Wednesday which is at 10.30am).

In total there are 8 small groups, 4 around the Maze area, 2 in Maghaberry, 1 in Culcavy and 1 in Dromore.

Come along to the All-together night on Wednesday 25th September in the Hall @ 8pm to hear more

This Autumn we will be considering the topic “Experiencing God”

“Have you had an experience of God?” It’s a question that provokes mixed reactions.

Fellowship Groups Autumn 2013The word “experience” may set alarm bells ringing for some Christians, as they imagine the word means supernatural encounters, strange visions, voices or other revelations.

But the Bible, God’s final, complete revelation, reveals a different, yet no less marvellous experience of God. The wonderful truths of the Gospel, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit give Christians a unique experience of God, seen and felt in many ways. A love for Christ and for others. Peace in place of anxiety and joy in all circumstances. And a passion for doing good, and a deep sense of fulfilment and freedom.

These studies stem from the conviction that a deeper understanding of God’s gospel leads us to a genuine, life-transforming experience of the living God in Christ, which leaves us hungry to know Him more, and serve Him more faithfully
